Tomato Basil Biscotti
These are a wonderful addition to a bread basket when serving salad as a main course. To make these biscotti really special, use fresh basil.
1 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
¼ cup of butter (softened)
2 Tablespoons sugar
¼ cup "All-natural Tomato Powder"
2 large eggs
2 Tablespoons of milk
Beat butter, sugar, and tomato powder till well combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Using a wooden spoon or the paddle on your mixer, mix in half of the dry ingredients. Add milk and stir well. Add the rest of the dry ingredients and stir till all the flour is absorbed. Mix in chopped fresh basil.
